Cemeteries are a mark of history and our neighborhood uniquely holds its own as the site of the Walden Cemetery. The prominent headstone in the front yard of 7603 Creekbluff Drive is the final resting place of Mrs. Caroline Thurm. Caroline’s living descendant, her great, great grandson Ladd Patillo, has gathered remarkable evidence as to the history of Caroline Thurm and the early settlers of Bull Creek. Please join us for a discussion about where these settlers came from, who they were, how they ended up in Bull Creek, and other fascinating stories of pioneer life. Please bring your curiosity, your questions, and a folding chair.
