Mark your calendars for the 38th annual neighborhood picnic – Sunday, May 26th. I hope you can join us for this casual and entertaining tradition.
Please take a moment to read the following important information.
BULL CREEK HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION – ANNUAL MEETING
Our annual, official Bull Creek Home Owners Association meeting will begin at 2:00 on Sunday, May 26. The HOA meeting and picnic will be at the lawn of 7603 Creekbluff Dr – The Herrman’s..
It is VERY important for you to attend if possible. If you cannot attend, please complete the attached proxy form and give it to a neighbor who will be attending, or send it back to me. Designating a proxy ensures that we have the required quorum for conducting neighborhood business.
New Business
The Board of Directors for BCHOA has been busy gathering feedback and have some areas to discuss in helping our neighborhood be a great community for families. Here is a glimpse of some new items we’ll share and discuss:
- 3 year terms expire for our HOA Board Members (Voting Time)
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Treasurer Report
- Architecture Committee Report
- Recent proposed zoning changes that apply to our neighborhood and what our Deed Restrictions provide us
- Permits – Work is happening at 7503 Creekbluff and 7609 Creekbluff w/o permits
- Pain Clinic is closed, building for Lease
- Gun shots continued this year, what has been done and what you can do.
- Deterring unwanted visitors
- License plate reader is in effect… interesting stats
- Bull Creek Park Cleanup Day
HOA Dues:
The BCHOA operates entirely on voluntary contributions. Each household is asked to donate $30 per year to cover minor expenses we incur. This amount is miniscule compared to most HOA fees, which usually are mandatory. Please don’t be delinquent – go ahead and take care of this right now, while you’re thinking about it. Make a check for $30 payable to Bull Creek HOA and bring it to the picnic, or mail it (along with your proxy, if applicable) to Megan Shaw, 7615 Creekbluff Dr. Please note – HOA dues are not used to pay for any picnic expenses. There is a separate collection to cover picnic expenses.
Current HOA board of directors:
President – Mark Garcia
Vice President – Travis Turner
Treasurer – Megan Shaw
Secretary – Derrick Leach
38th ANNUAL PICNIC
Our annual neighborhood picnic will begin immediately after the HOA meeting. Your neighbors have been doing this for a long time – come be part of it! EVERYONE is welcome, including guests. Please bring lawn chairs, and a covered dish or two (enough servings for the number of people coming with you).
The host families provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and grilled chicken, cooked fresh and tender, along with plenty of cold beverages for adults and kids.
The picnic is free, but suggested donations of $6 per adult and $3 per child are appreciated. (The HOA does not pay for the picnic!)
WE NEED YOUR OUTDOOR TABLES AND CHAIRS
There are 47 households in the neighborhood. Providing seating for everyone is a challenge, but you can help!
Please let us borrow your outdoor furniture for the weekend. If you have any outdoor tables and chairs, please put them in your driveway by 9:00 on Saturday morning (May 25 – rain or shine). A team will pick them up and take them to the picnic, then return them to your house on Monday. Be sure to put your name on each piece. If you can’t get the items to the front by yourself, just put out a single chair with a note on it and we’ll do the rest.
Your to-do list:
- Mark your calendar to attend the HOA meeting and picnic
- Send in your proxy if needed
- Pay your dues
- Let us know if you’d like to volunteer as a host family for the picnic
- Lend us your patio furniture (May 25-27)
I sincerely hope you’ll join us next Sunday, May 26, even if just for a little while. It is a great way to meet your neighbors, and always a lot of fun!
See you there!
